Kiss Arts Festival

Ray White K.I.S.S. Street Theatre

The streets of central Kiama will come alive on both weekends of the festival as 10 international and national professional street theatre artists perform their amazing feats of skill and world class entertainment. Street theatre is the ultimate in accessible art, it is theatre for the people, live, unexpected and immediate. It will bring an unprecedented amount of vibrant activity and festive spirit to Kiama, it’s markets and Hindmarsh Park. Don’t forget, in the age old tradition of street theatre, the performers will be passing their hats at the end of their shows. So show your support by folding your donations neatly before placing them in the hat.

THE GREAT DAVE does TEA FOR TWO

The Great Dave’s obsession with tea has led him to abandon his country’s traditional poise and execute a trick “rarely seen outside of The Chinese State Circus”. Watch and be amazed as he kicks cups, saucers and a spoon on to his head, whilst riding a unicycle!!! What sort of a mad man does that? The Great Dave has “brewed up” his special blend of bumbling English comedy in every corner of the world over the last 20 years. His cheeky smile and self-depreciating sense of humour will make you love him from the outset, but his lovable antics are only the tip of this enigmatic iceberg.

Ernest The Magnifico

Ernest the Magnifico was born to be a stuntman. After falling out of bed as a child and jumping in front of cars as a teenager, Ernest combined his talents to create “The Big Great Stunt Show”, a comic street show like no other.

It is a comedy show, a real life cartoon with the emphasis on the visual comedy of Ernest’s “Great Stunts”. In daredevil tradition, Ernest performs a flying car jump – his car effortlessly gliding through the air over himself and volunteers. He rides a high powered, quite absurd pogo stick, performing unique tricks before finishing with a highly entertaining balloon popping leap into the heavens.

From his painful start, Ernest’s career has spread like wild fire across the seas. He has toured Australia, NZ, Canada and Europe.
